My name is Michelle and I live in Illinois, in a suburb about 8 miles
northwest of Chicago.
I have a WONDERFUL husband named Tom and am OWNED by 13 beautiful
kitties!
I am recovering from both having a genetic liver disorder called
Wilson's Disease and from addiction. The program of Recovery has
changed my life. It has made me care for myself more and appreciate
what is really great in life!
This page is dedicated to all those recovering people who make a
difference in my life every day.
This page is also dedicated to CATS
everywhere!
During all the bad times I ever had, I had a kitty by my side to purr
gently and get me through the rough times.
This page is dedicated also to people suffering from illnesses
all over the world. There is a place for each and every member of God's
world and He will help you to find it if you let Him.
I want to welcome you here, to a page filled with hopes and dreams
and a lot of sharing and caring. In my life today, filled with honesty and
openmindedness, I needed to set aside a little area for others to come,
relax, read, and be serene if just for a few minutes.
First and farmost, I love the Recovery Program. Living the 12-steps has
made me a better person. Below and on the following pages are Recovery
readings I especially like.
I teach elementary school: grades K-4 because I want to be a significant
influence in shaping the lives of future generations. Childhood education
is so important because we are responsible for helping them grow and
becoming tomorrows leaders in society. A difficult role, but one I take
pride and joy in doing.
I love cats because they are calming and soothing creatures that have a mind
of their own just like me. Every time in my life that I remember being ill,
I have had a cat by my side to comfort me. In sobriety it is often my cat
that calms me down when I need it. By the way, I am OWNED by 11 cats in all!!!
I love to bowl, listen to a wide variety of music...from Sinatra to 70's and
80's. I like to go dancing. I like to play bingo and excercise, swim and walk
I keep busy in recovery and I like it that way because I am always learning
and growing.
